Jack Gates, First 2009 Scituate Little League Registration Held November 8th The first 2009 Scituate Little League walk-in registration was held Saturday, November 8th at the Knights of Columbus building on Route 3A. We had about 670 players register for spring and summer baseball. There will be an additional walk-in registration held most likely in February. Please keep checking this site as we get closer to the date. Please note that you should register as early as you can. Due to field availability and Little League Baseball regulations, sign-ups will be based on a first come first serve basis. 15 A Team Wins District, Falls Short in State Tournament Run As exciting (and exhausting) as it has been....the run is over, the 15A's lost on Sunday July 20th to Auburn. Upon tallying up the trips, the team played 5 games in 6 days while traveling close to 600 miles. They faced Auburn's #1 pitcher and a 16 year old team that were the defending state champs.
This Scituate team won the district and went 6-2 in tournament play (currently 10-3-1 overall) and as far as our research shows, has gone further than any Senior Little League Tournament Team in SLL history (this is the same team that made it to the "Sweet 16" in Cooperstown in 2006).
We thank you all for your support.
Congratulations to the 15A Scituate summer travel team for a great year.
