Each summer Scituate Little League (SLL) can send a team (or two teams) to play in a week-long baseball tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The level of competition is the highest quality of any tournament our teams play against in a given year. SLL has a long-standing tradition of sending a team to this unique program as the culmination of a child's 12-year-old Little League season. Players and three coaches stay together at the park and build friendships with other teams from around the country.

When

Depending on the level of interest and number of qualified players, SLL has the opportunity to send one or two teams to the 2026 tournament. The deadline to send our deposit for to reserve a team(s) for 2026 is September 15, 2025.

In our application we will provide our preferred week and two alternate weeks. If there are two teams there is no guarantee they will go the same week, but that will be the preference. Typically, Scituate selects the second week of August as the preferred week. Next year that would be Monday, August 10 through Sunday, August 16, 2026. 

Cost 

The minimum team size is 11 players, and teams are guaranteed 6 games. One of them will be a playoff game on Friday. The cost of sending a team includes player fees, coach fees, and an umpire fee. For 11 players, three coaches, and the umpire fee, the total cost per team is $19,500. Additional players are $1,300. Fees are subject to change and we will update information as we receive it. Once a team is formed, the parents and coaches can decide how to split up the payment for the team to attend. There will be additional expenses per player for pins and other incidentals. Family lodging, food, etc. are additional, as well. Fundraising is conducted to help lower the cost of attending.

Eligibility 

SLL remains committed to forming a team (or teams) based on Little League age 12 players. Based on skill level, our priority is to select as many Little League age 12 players who have played summer travel baseball as possible. However, SLL may use AAU-eligible 11- and 12-year-olds who are not Little League age 12 in forming a team (or teams).  The Tournament uses age rules, which are based on AAU rules.

Registration 

Registration is open until September 8, 2025. You can register on our website. There is a refundable $250 deposit required at the time of registration.  Once registration is closed, SLL Board members will decide how to form one or two teams.
