Spring Training 4 week Pitching & Catching Clinic

The SLL Board is excited to announce our inaugural 4 week Spring Training Pitching and Catching program.

Join Dave Iava and John Gainey on Tuesday March 17, 24, and 31 at the High School Small Gym and April 7 at the Middle School Gym.

The program is available to SLL baseball players age 10, 11, and 12. The pitching and catching program will build on skills each week.

Parents are encouraged to only register their child if they can attend all 4 sessions. Players who are part of a club team are also asked to give kids who do not play club a chance to register. This will ensure more kids are getting instruction from Club Coaching.

SLL will provide catcher gear. If you have your own feel free to bring it. Please indicate in the registration if your child will be attending the catching portion.

Slot 1 5:30-6:30 Pitching option to stay for catching 6:30-7:00

Slot 2 7:00-8:00 Pitching option to arrive early for catching 6:30-7:00

**There is a maximum capacity of 20 players per time slot.**

Dave Iava has coached youth and high school baseball for the last 32 years in South East MA. He currently is the Head Pitching instructor and U13 Travel coach for The Dugout Dawgs Travel program based in Sandwich MA.

John is a Scituate resident and former SLL Board member. He has played baseball on the south shore for decades. He was the Head Coach for SLL Summer 9U team in 2022 and Assistant Coach for SLL Summer 11B team in 2025.
