Summer Travel Softball is a more competitive version of Spring Softball and is intended for players looking to improve and advance. A higher level of commitment is expected from Summer Travel Softball players. There may be more practices and players are expected to attend. Coaches will incorporate all players into games, but playing time is not guaranteed. Similar to Spring Softball, the Scituate team will travel to nearby Towns to play. Tryouts will likely be held and all players that sign up may not make the team. Depending on the number of entrants, players that do not make the team may be offered a practice player position where players practice regularly with the team and are "called up" to play periodically during the season.
